My first month as a digital nomad was a total disaster in Bali

I landed in Bali thinking it would be paradise for remote work. Day one my laptop screen cracked in my backpack. Day three I realized my 'villa' had zero wifi and I was using a mobile hotspot that cost me $60 in a week. By day ten I was working out of a laundry room because it was the only place with a desk. Thirty days later I finally found a proper coworking space in Canggu with actual ergonomic chairs. Has anyone else had a completely botched first month trying to work abroad?
