Just realized I was packing way too much tech gear for coworking spaces
Spent a whole year lugging a 15 inch laptop, a mechanical keyboard, a mouse, a tablet, and a giant power bank everywhere I went. Backpack weighed like 20 pounds. Then last month in Lisbon I sat down at this tiny desk in a crowded spot and saw a guy next to me just had a chromebook and a phone. He told me he uses remote desktop to access his main machine when he needs power. Blew my mind. Now I'm down to a 13 inch laptop, nothing else. Shoulder feels way better. Anybody else have that moment where you realize you're overpreparing for coffee shop work?

and that remote desktop trick really is a game changer, i started doing the same thing last year after watching a guy run a whole design session off a cheap tablet. now i just carry a small laptop and my phone, and if i need something heavy i just pull it up from my home pc. its wild how much stuff we think we need until we see someone else getting by with way less.

My buddy actually pulled this off last year when his main laptop died in the middle of a big freelance project. He ended up remoting into his desktop from a cheap chromebook he borrowed from his sister, lol. The lag was barely noticeable and he finished the whole thing without any issues. Now he just keeps an old tablet in his bag and does all his heavy work through his home pc. Its crazy how quickly you adapt when you have no other choice.
