Just hit 50 different coffee shops worked from in the past year
I was cleaning up my Google Maps saved places and saw the list. Fifty spots, from a tiny place in Chiang Mai that cost 50 cents for a coffee to a fancy spot in Lisbon with those big shared tables. It hit me that I don't even have a 'usual' place anymore. The weird part is, I can remember the wifi password for maybe three of them. The rest are just a blur of power outlets and background noise. It's cool to see the number, but it also feels a bit... unrooted, you know? Has anyone else tracked something like this and felt the same mix of pride and a little bit of 'where am I?'

Sounds like a weird thing to track. It's just coffee shops, not a life goal.

Hey, I get that. For me, tracking local shops made exploring my own city fun. Found this tiny place with amazing cinnamon rolls I'd have just walked past. It turned a boring Saturday into a little adventure. Gave me a reason to check out different neighborhoods.

This wandering from place to place is kind of how everything is going these days, not just coffee shops. It's like people trade having a favorite diner or bar for this constant rotation of new spots, always chasing the novelty. You end up with a long list of places instead of one spot where they know your name and get your order ready before you sit down.
