Honestly thought I needed a co-working space to get anything done
Tbh, I was in Medellin for two months and kept putting off renting a desk at a spot because it was like $200 a month. I finally just tried working from my apartment's tiny kitchen table for a full week. Ngl, I got more deep work done in those five days than the previous three weeks hopping cafes. The quiet was huge, and not having to pack up for lunch or deal with someone's loud call next to me was a game changer. I saved the cash and just go to a cafe for a few hours on Fridays now for the social bit. Has anyone else found they work better totally solo, or did you need that office vibe to stay on track?

Honestly, the quiet at home is a total game changer for focus.

Wait, you can actually hear quiet at your place? My neighbor's dog barks at leaves, and the garbage truck sounds like it's coming through the wall every Tuesday. I'm jealous of anyone who gets real silence.

Oh, you mean your kitchen table doesn't double as a drum set when the neighbor's kids get home from school? Must be nice. I tried the whole "work from home" thing once and spent more time making up reasons to rearrange my sock drawer than actually working. The coffee shop chaos is bad, but at least there's a social contract where strangers don't ask you to watch their cat mid-sentence. I swear my apartment's silence is just the sound of my laundry piling up, silently judging me.
