Hit a co-working spot in Lisbon last month and realized everyone was fighting for outlets because nobody packs a simple extension cord.

I started throwing a cheap 6-foot power strip in my bag and now I can work from any cafe without hunting for the one open socket. Has anyone else found a travel win that feels obvious but nobody talks about?

Oh man, I used to roll my eyes at people who brought extra gear to cafes like it was overkill. But last month I spent a whole afternoon in this cramped coffee shop with my laptop at 15% battery and zero outlets in sight. It totally changed my mind. Now I stash a basic power strip in my bag too, and it's honestly a lifesaver. I plug my phone charger, my laptop, and even let someone else use a slot if they're desperate. It's such a simple fix that feels ridiculous until you actually do it.

Wait, is a dead laptop battery really that big of a deal though? Like, I get it if you're trying to finish something urgent, but 15% battery and you're stuck in a cafe for an afternoon? That's a planning problem, not a gear problem. Seems like you could just pack it up and go home or hit a library instead of dragging a power strip around everywhere. I mean, I've forgot my charger before and just called it a day early. Not the end of the world.
