Fell for that fancy co-working space in Bali - cost me $400 and my sanity

I booked this trendy spot in Canggu for a month because the Instagram photos looked amazing. Showed up and there were 50 people crammed into a room designed for 20, with wifi that died every 15 minutes. Spent the first week trying to get a refund and ended up working from a noisy cafe. Anyone else get burned by these overhyped digital nomad hubs?

spent the first week trying to get a refund" yeah that sounds about right. I've been to a few of those places and honestly you gotta treat them like hostels with a printer. They overpromise on the wifi and space every single time. The instagram pics are always taken at 6am when nobody is there. I think the real move is finding a local cafe or a quiet guesthouse instead of those flashy coworking spots. Four hundred bucks for a month in Bali is steep too you can get a whole villa for that in some areas. Next time skip the hype and just ask around the local expat facebook groups for a good spot.

@jamesmason sounds jealous he didn't blow 400 bucks on that Instagram trap.
