35% of coworking spaces in Lisbon have no phone booths, just found that out the hard way
I landed in Lisbon last week and booked a coworking spot near Time Out Market. First day on a Zoom call, I had to take it in the bathroom because there was zero private space. Looked it up later and a blog post from Coworking Collective said 35% of coworking spaces in Lisbon don't have phone booths. I always assumed that was standard. Anyone else run into this problem in other cities?

Man, hard disagree on this one. Phone booths are overrated and most of the time they're just empty boxes people use for napping or eating lunch. Real coworking is about embracing the chaos, grab a corner seat with noise cancelling headphones and you're good. Lisbon's creative vibe comes from the open plan layout, not some sterile booth. Plus, the best calls happen when you're walking around the city, grab a coffee at a pastelaria on the way.

And walking around Lisbon for calls is exactly why booths are kinda pointless here, the city itself is the real coworking space. I've taken more important calls sitting on a bench in Principe Real than I ever would in some glass box, the background noise just adds to the vibe. Plus you get that fresh air and a pastel de nata break, way better than staring at a wall.
