The day I stopped writing meta descriptions by hand
For two years I'd write unique meta descriptions for every single blog post. One afternoon I ran 50 pages through a free AI tool in 3 minutes and they performed better than my hand-crafted ones. Has anyone else found an unexpected shortcut that actually improved results?

3 minutes for 50 pages is wild, I'm not sure if that means your old meta descriptions were overthought or the tool is just that good lol. but honestly if the numbers went up maybe you were just wasting time before. sometimes we act like writing by hand is better when the data says otherwise.

Wait, do you think writing by hand just makes us feel better even when the results don't back it up? @olivia_chen35 hit on something real there. I used to think every little tweak mattered on its own, but honestly the AI tool probably caught patterns I was missing after staring at too many pages.
Sometimes your brain just gets tired of thinking about the same stuff over and over. The numbers don't lie though if your hand-written ones were worse that's a tough pill to swallow but it's data. I say go with what works and save your energy for the stuff that actually needs a human touch.
