Shoutout to the guy who told me to try manual outreach for SEO backlinks

I spent like 6 months buying backlinks from cheap sites and saw zero movement on my small business blog. Then this person at a meetup in Austin said to just email 20 site owners directly with a specific offer. I got 3 solid links in one week from that and my traffic finally went up. Has anyone else had better luck with manual outreach than paid links?

Paid links still work if you actually know what you're doing and don't buy garbage from Fiverr. Manual outreach is way too time consuming for what you get back.
