Rant: My client's organic traffic dropped 40% in two weeks after a core update they ignored.
They refused to fix the thin content I flagged in January, and now we're scrambling to recover from a manual action penalty Google just confirmed.

Ugh, that's rough. Just a quick note, a manual action is different from a core update hit. The manual action means Google actually reviewed and penalized the site. A core update drop is algorithmic. Both are bad, but the fix can be a bit different.

My own stubborn client once cost us three months of rankings over a similar issue. It's the classic case of paying for the ambulance instead of the band-aid. Now I just send the warnings and let the traffic chart do the arguing for me.

Man, isn't that always how it goes. It's like people who ignore the check engine light in their car for months then act shocked when the engine seizes on the highway. Or that neighbor who lets a tiny roof leak go until the whole ceiling caves in during a storm. Same thing with your health too - people skip small checkups then end up in the ER for something that could've been caught early. Everyone wants to save a buck or a few hours now, then ends up paying way more later in time and money. It's like a law of nature at this point.
