Pro tip: That conversation with a client's grandma changed how I write emails
I was sitting in a coffee shop in Portland last Tuesday helping an elderly lady sign up for a newsletter. She said 'I delete anything that sounds like a robot wrote it.' I realized I was using way too much corporate jargon in my marketing copy. Has anyone else had a random person give them better advice than any course?

Honestly, not every client hates a bit of professional tone though.

Just match their tone from the first email and you're usually golden.
