My landing page conversion tanked 40% after one small layout tweak

I redesigned my landing page in January, just moved the CTA button from above the fold to below the testimonial section. Thought it would look cleaner, but my conversion rate dropped from 2.5% to 1.5% over February. Had to run a split test for two weeks to confirm the button placement was the problem. Anyone else screw up a simple page change and not catch it right away?

Holy crap, that's the part that gets me every time. It's never the big, obvious screwup that ruins your whole day, it's always some tiny dumb thing you barely even noticed. Like one loose wire or a missing comma and suddenly your entire system is toast. I swear, half the time I fix stuff by just checking the stupidest, smallest parts first because that's always where the problem hides. It's infuriating how much power a little nothing detail has to wreck hours of work. Makes you paranoid to touch anything.
