My client's video ad views went from 2,000 to 20,000 after we changed one thing

I run ads for a small gym in Austin. For three months, their video ads on social media were stuck at about 2,000 views each. The hook was always about signing up for a membership. Last month, we switched it. The new ad just showed a quick, 15-second clip of a trainer helping someone fix their squat form, with text that said 'Common mistake?' No call to sign up at all. The very next video got over 20,000 views in two days. It was all because we stopped trying to sell right away and just gave a free, useful tip. People shared it and commented asking for more advice. It made me see that providing value first works way better than a hard sell. Has anyone else seen a big jump by making their ads less salesy?

Totally get this. My husband runs a small landscaping business and his ads used to just say "get a free quote now." They went nowhere. Then he posted a short video showing how to stop weeds from growing between patio stones with stuff you already have at home. That thing blew up. People just want to solve a problem first, before they even think about buying anything.

Exactly! My shop's social media took off after I posted a quick fix for a flickering light.
