A client in Phoenix told me my emails were too "salesy" and it stung at first
I had this plumbing client I was running Facebook ads for and they were getting leads but nobody was buying. The owner pulled me aside after a month and said my emails sounded like a car salesman at a used lot. I was using all these trigger words like "act now" and "limited offer" and it was pushing people away. He showed me his own emails he sent to repeat customers and they were just friendly check-ins with a link to schedule maintenance. So I switched to sending case studies and simple follow ups that asked how their pipes were doing instead of pushing a sale. First month after the change their booking rate went up by about 35 percent. Anyone else had to dial back the hard sell to actually get better results?

38% of my clients just wanted me to stop yelling at them with CAPS.

Same here, it's wild how many people just want you to chill out with the all-caps thing. I had a few clients tell me they felt like I was screaming at them through the screen, which I never meant to do at all. It's so easy to forget that writing in caps just looks aggressive and pushy, even when you're trying to be helpful. Once I stopped doing it, my messages got better responses and people actually listened more. Simple fix, huge difference in how they react to you.
