Was totally against influencer marketing until I saw the numbers
I run a small organic skincare brand in Austin and always thought paying influencers was just throwing money away. Then last quarter I caved and gave $200 worth of product to a local mom with 15k followers. She posted one story and we got 47 direct sales in under 48 hours. Has anyone else had a campaign totally flip their opinion on a strategy they used to hate?

Honestly the key is finding the right influencer. Micro influencers with actual engaged audiences are goldmines. I've seen brands waste thousands on big names that barely move the needle.

Micro influencers with actual engaged audiences are goldmines" - man, you nailed it. I've seen companies drop crazy money on someone with a million followers, only to get crickets. Meanwhile, I've worked with a mommy blogger with like 10k followers and her post sold out our stuff in hours. The trick is looking past the numbers and checking if people actually reply to their posts, not just like and scroll. You gotta look at the comments section, see if she's actually talking back to people. That real connection is worth way more than a big name that barely remembers they even posted.
