Unpopular opinion: Facebook ads are not dying, most people just can't target properly
I was at a coffee shop in Austin last Tuesday running a campaign that hit 8x ROAS, and the guy next to me said Facebook is dead. He was using broad targeting with no lookalike audiences. Has anyone else seen people give up too fast on a platform because they never learned the basics?

The "people interested in shoes" thing made me laugh because I used to be that person blaming the platform. Took me a while to admit it was my bad targeting, not Facebook's fault.

Oh man, this is exactly what happened to my buddy Mike. He spent like three months complaining that FB ads were a waste of money, then I looked at his account and he was targeting "people interested in shoes" to everyone in the US.
