Hit 10,000 email subscribers last week and I'm still trying to process it
I started my niche newsletter about indie game marketing back in March and last Tuesday I crossed the 10k mark. It surprised me because I only had like 300 people after the first 6 months. I think one thing that really helped was a single post about Steam wishlist strategies that got shared in a Discord with 2,000 members. Has anyone else hit a random milestone way earlier than they expected?

So was that Discord share something you planned out or did it just happen by accident? I'm asking because I've seen so many people try to force their stuff into servers and it just backfires. But when it happens naturally it can blow up like crazy. What was the actual moment like when you saw the traffic spike from that share? Did you notice it right away or did someone have to tell you about it later? Because those random growth moments feel totally different than when you're grinding for every single subscriber.

Damn, that's wild you noticed that detail. Totally caught me off guard because I didn't even realize it was happening until a friend texted me like "yo your site is blowing up in this server" and I checked and my jaw dropped. Can't wrap my head around how one random share did more than weeks of grinding ever did.
