Can we talk about how people are still ignoring their Google Business Profile?

Honestly, I see so many local service businesses with zero posts or outdated info, and it's killing their local search ranking. How are you keeping yours fresh, or is it just not a priority for your clients?

I used to skip it too, but seeing my own ranking drop changed my mind fast.

Yeah I gotta disagree with the way you're framing this, @the_dylan. Sure, a ranking drop stings, but I see PLENTY of businesses doing just FINE with minimal Google profile upkeep. Google's algorithms are way more forgiving than people give them credit for. If your main source of customers is word of mouth or repeat referrals, an outdated profile honestly doesn't matter that much. I'm not saying ignore it forever, but stressing over posts and constant updates feels like a waste of time for a lot of smaller operations. The real killer is not having your phone number or address correct, not whether you posted last week.
