Finally deleted 14k screenshots after 3 years of 'just in case'

I kept every screenshot since 2021 because I was scared I'd need a random receipt or a meme for something later. Last week my phone storage hit 92% full, so I bit the bullet and went through them with the search tool. Turned out 90% were blurry duplicates or old game scores I never looked at again. I kept maybe 400 that actually matter, and my photos app feels way faster now. Anyone else hold onto screenshots way longer than they should?

Screenshots are basically free receipts for your brain and deleting them is how you end up scrolling through old chats at 2am trying to remember what that Venmo payment was even for. Storage is cheap these days, so clearing out 14k of them for a little speed boost seems like a bad trade when one blurry pic could save you an argument later. Keeping the chaos is the point, you just gotta dump them into a folder and forget about it.
