Swapped from a mouse to a drawing tablet for line art and it clicked
I used to do all my digital art line work with a mouse in Photoshop, just clicking and dragging for hours. About 3 months ago I picked up a basic Huion tablet for $60 from a friend who upgraded. My wrist was getting sore after long sessions and I figured it was worth a try. Now I can sketch curves and fine details in half the time, no more fighting with the mouse. The first week was rough, my lines looked like a drunk spider drew them, but once I got used to the hand-eye disconnect it felt natural. Has anyone else struggled with the switch or found a trick that made it easier for them?

Did you try lowering the tablet's active area for more precision?

Yeah totally try lowering the active area on the tablet driver settings. I shrunk mine down to about half the screen size and it helped a ton with those wobbly lines because you don't have to move your arm as far. Some people say to match the tablet to your monitor ratio but honestly I just made it a square in the middle and that worked way better for me. Another thing nobody told me was to turn off Windows Ink in the tablet properties if you're on Windows because it adds this weird lag that makes your lines feel floaty. Also try doing some big arm movements from your shoulder instead of just your wrist, it keeps the lines smooth and stops that tension in your hand.
