Stumbled onto a gamut masking trick at a local meetup that saved my skin tones
Some guy at the Denver Digital Art Society demo showed me how to clip saturation layers for portraits and it fixed my muddy reds instantly. Has anyone else found a weird, niche setting that changed their whole workflow?

80 percent of portrait post-processing is just fighting muddy reds, so this trick sounds like a lifesaver. @mason283 is totally right, every craft has that one hidden knob people just accept as broken.

My buddy Mike runs a welding shop and he found a similar thing with plasma cutters - something small in the gas mix that nobody talks about cleaned up his edges like magic. Seems like every craft has that one hidden knob that everyone else just accepts as broken.
