My entire portfolio site went down for 36 hours right before a big client review
This happened last Tuesday, right when I was supposed to send my latest character designs to a studio in Austin. I host my showcase on a platform I thought was solid, but they had a massive server crash. My whole gallery, my about page, everything was just a blank white screen. I spent the whole first day refreshing the page and checking their status page, which just said 'investigating.' I couldn't even upload my files anywhere else because all my high-res work was only on that site. It finally came back online Wednesday night, but the stress was unreal. I had to email the client with a direct Dropbox link and a huge apology. Has anyone else had their art site just vanish like that? What's a more reliable place to keep a live portfolio?

Yeah, and it shows in the weirdest ways, @amymartinez. Like, you get one new gray hair but it's in your eyebrow. You start craving a food you hated as a kid. I swear I looked in the mirror after a crazy week and my laugh lines were just... deeper, like they got the memo early. It's not even about sleep, it's the stress that just carves itself right into your face lol.
