Just found out my digital painting got 500 views on a small art site

I uploaded a piece to a site called ArtStation about three months ago and mostly forgot about it. I logged in today to post something new and saw the view count was over 500. That might not sound like a lot, but for me it is. I usually get maybe 50 views if I'm lucky. The piece is a sci-fi cityscape I made in Procreate, and I guess the tags I used were better this time. It's a weird feeling, like someone actually saw the thing I spent hours on. Makes me want to go back and look at my older stuff to see if I can figure out what clicked. Has anyone else had a random piece get more attention than they expected?

That feeling when you see the view count is so real. I posted a dumb sketch of my cat wearing a tiny hat to a forum once, just threw it up there before a shift. Came back a week later and it had like a thousand replies. Meanwhile the serious stuff I worked on got nothing. It's like the internet has a mind of its own sometimes. Makes you wonder what people are even looking for.

Man, 500 views on ArtStation is legit! I had a similar thing happen with a character design I did for a game jam a while back. Tossed it up on DeviantArt with some random tags and it got close to 800 views over a weekend. Meanwhile my actual portfolio pieces sit at like 30 views for months. It's wild how the algorithm or whatever just decides to push one thing and not the other. Makes you want to reverse engineer the whole process.

Nice, that's a solid bump.
