Honestly, my whole process for picking colors used to be just guessing until it looked okay. Tbh, after a workshop in Austin last year, I started using a proper color wheel and my stuff looks way more put together now.
Anyone else have a simple tool that totally changed their art?

A workshop in Austin is what finally got you to use a color wheel? That's wild to me. I lived there for three years and the art scene is so color-focused, I figured everyone picked that up on day one. I guess I just assumed the basic tools were common knowledge in a place that vibrant. It's honestly great you found something that works, it just surprises me it happened there of all places. The color wheel feels like such a starting point.

So what was it about that specific workshop that finally made the color wheel click for you? Like, was it the way they taught it, or did you just never have someone sit down and show you how to actually use it in a practical way before? It's interesting how the same basic tool can seem pointless until someone explains it in a way that makes sense.
