Grandpa's coupon talk was probably just him trying to get you to clip offers at the grocery store, not some deep life lesson. Honestly, saving a few cents on toothpaste doesn't change how you see anything.

Yeah but @black.margaret I think you're missing the point a little. It's not about the toothpaste, it's about him showing you how to be careful with money in general. Those little habits add up over time. Did your grandpa ever explain why he clipped coupons in the first place?
