Stumbled on a crazy deal for bulk spices vs those tiny jars at the grocery store

I was buying cumin and paprika at my local Kroger last week and noticed the little jars were like $4 each for maybe an ounce. Then my buddy who cooks a lot told me he gets his spices from a place called Monterey Bay Herb Company online. I checked it out and got a full pound of cumin for like $6 shipping included. That same amount at the store would have cost me over $50 easy. I even compared the freshness side by side and the bulk stuff had way more smell and flavor. Anyone else tried buying spices in bulk like this or found a different source that works better?

Spent $6 on cumin. Now my kitchen smells like a taco truck exploded.

Yeah, that's wild how cheap bulk spices are compared to those tiny jars. A buddy of mine did the same thing with oregano from a local bulk store. He bought a big bag for like three bucks and said it lasted him over a year. But the funny part is he stored it in a mason jar and forgot about it. Then his wife used some in spaghetti sauce and said it tasted like old hay. So I guess you gotta use them up fast or keep them sealed tight.
