Remember when Black Friday used to mean camping outside at 3 AM? Something happened that changed my whole approach.

I used to be that person standing in line at Best Buy at 4 in the morning every Black Friday. My buddy Dave and I would bring lawn chairs and thermoses of coffee. Then about 5 years ago, I was at the Target in Tacoma waiting for doors to open. Some guy cut in line and a fight almost broke out over a discounted TV. I stood there freezing, holding a flyer with deals that weren't even that good. That morning I went home, pulled out my phone, and found the same TV for $20 more with free shipping. Now I haven't stepped foot in a store on Black Friday since 2019. Has anyone else just stopped bothering with the doorbuster craziness?
