Pro tip: check the fine print on those cashback rewards apps
I signed up for one that promised 10% back on groceries but after $200 of purchases I got 50 cents because the fine print said only specific brands counted and I didn't read it close enough, has anyone else gotten burned by these apps?

My buddy Tom signed up for one of those gas cashback apps, spent $150 on fuel, and got back 32 cents because it only counted purchases at one specific chain two towns over. He didn't notice the fine print listed like 3 obscure gas station brands he'd never even heard of. He uninstalled the app and went back to just using his regular credit card.
