Had to pick between $50 meal kit box or $50 grocery run last Tuesday
I was staring at my fridge with like half a jar of pickles and some sad cheese, so I had to choose. Got the grocery run route and bought chicken thighs, rice, frozen veggies, eggs, and beans for $47. Made 4 dinners and 3 lunches out of it, but man I ate chicken and rice 5 times in 3 days. My buddy got the meal kit and had fun cooking for 2 nights then ran out of food midweek. Has anyone else done the math on meal kits vs raw groceries and won either way?

Meal kits are basically paying someone to meal plan and portion out ingredients for you. Youre paying a premium for the convenience of not having to think about what to buy. Raw groceries win on value and variety every time. Best move is to do both on a rotation if you can swing it. Use meal kits when you're burnt out on planning and grocery store trips get too overwhelming.

Totally feel you. @rowan_wells67 that rotation idea is solid advice.
