Warning: dropped $50 on a fancy cable comb kit and regret it
I bought this 20-piece aluminum cable comb set thinking it'd make my build look like a pro job, but the combs kept popping off the cables and scratched my PSU shroud. Has anyone else had bad luck with metal combs over the cheap plastic ones?

The whole 20-piece aluminum kit thing sounds like overkill to begin with lol. I mean how many combs do you really need for one build? Most PSU shrouds are already kind of cheap painted metal so scratching one is hardly the end of the world. I dropped my screwdriver on mine the first week and it left a mark you can only see if you shine a flashlight at it. Plus the metal combs are way more rigid so they're gonna scratch or pop off if you're not super careful. Plastic ones are just easier to work with and you don't gotta worry about damaging anything.

Scratched your PSU shroud? That's brutal, I'd be so mad. I always thought metal was supposed to be the premium option, but hearing that makes me wonder if the plastic ones are actually safer for your parts. Maybe the extra rigidity on the metal ones just makes them way too unforgiving against anything they touch.
