PSA: Intake fans through a radiator are not automatically bad

I keep seeing builds where people mount AIOs or rads on top as exhaust and then wonder why their GPU runs hot in a case like the Fractal North. Sure, exhausting heat out the top makes sense for the CPU, but now you're pulling in warm air from the GPU for your CPU cooler. Last week I tested 3 different fan configs in my own build at 1440p and the difference was 8C on the GPU with the rad front-mounted as intake. Which side do you prioritize, CPU temps or GPU temps, and has anyone actually benched both ways in the same case?
