PSA: Check your fan hub specs before buying

Just found out my new Lian Li fans pull 0.6 amps each. My cheap hub from Amazon only handles 1 amp total. That's only 3 fans max on a 6-port hub. Found it buried in the product description on page 4. Has anyone else fried a hub by overloading it?

Yeah that sucks. I got a Phanteks hub that claims 4.5 amps total but the manual says each port is limited to 1 amp. So even with the bigger number you still gotta watch it. Running 6 fans on that thing would be sketchy if they're all high amp ones. They really need to put the per port limit in the title, not hiding it on page 4 of the manual.
