Picked up a trick from a guy at Micro Center in Denver about routing fan cables behind the GPU

He showed me how to tuck fan cables through the little gaps in the backplate shroud and now my build looks way cleaner, has anyone else tried this method for hiding cables?

Backplate shroud? That's usually just the backplate, no shroud there.

I mean I get what you're saying but I've seen plenty of shrouds that are just backplates with extra plastic or metal bits glued on. Some of the cheap cases out there have backplates that are basically a thin piece of metal with a plastic shroud clipped over it, so calling it a backplate shroud makes sense to me. If it's not reinforcing anything and just there to make the card look less empty, it's a shroud in my book. The whole point is to cover up the components underneath, same as a front shroud does. Plus I've taken apart a few cards where the backplate was literally just two pieces snapped together, no way that's a real structural backplate.
