Learned that front panel cables can mess up your airflow more than I thought
I was tweaking my build last night and noticed my GPU temps were 5 degrees higher than usual. Figured it was dust or something, but after poking around I found that my front panel USB 3.0 cable was literally blocking a good chunk of the intake fan path. It was just flopping around in there since I never bothered to route it properly. A few zip ties later and my temps dropped back down, so if you're fighting temps check those loose cables near the front fans first. Anyone else had a weird cable block their airflow and not notice for a while?

Yeah but actually cable management can sometimes help way more than people give it credit for. I've seen builds where a single loose SATA cable was riding against the GPU fan and making it stutter a bit. Not a full block but enough to mess with the fan's spin pattern. The front panel cables are sneaky because they sit right in that intake path where you'd never think to look. Did you check if your power supply cables are zipped up tight behind the motherboard tray too? Those can droop down and block bottom intakes if they're not secured.

Bro I'm pretty sure my cable management is more like a rat's nest at this point, oops.
