I finally figured out why my GPU was thermal throttling in a mesh case
So last Tuesday I moved my build into a Fractal Meshify 2 (you know, the one with all the airflow) and my 3080 was hitting 85C under load. I spent three days reading forum posts and checking fan curves, no luck. Then on Friday I noticed the PSU shroud had a solid panel blocking the bottom intake fans from actually feeding air to the GPU. I flipped the bottom fans to exhaust instead and boom, temps dropped to 72C within an hour. Has anyone else dealt with sneaky airflow dead zones in mesh cases?

Huh, flipping them to exhaust actually pulls hot air away from the card, not feeds it.

Yeah that makes way more sense. Flipping them to exhaust is the right call for airflow. @jordan653 has it straight.
