Hot take: zip tying GPU cables tight against the tray cooked my 3080's hotspot
Pulled my 3080 out last Tuesday after 3 months of 105C hotspot temps and found the power cables zip tied so tight against the backplate they were blocking half the rear fan's exhaust path. Repositioned them with a 2 inch gap and hotspot dropped to 89C in the same case with the same fan curve. Anyone else measure a temp jump from tight cable bundles near a hot card?
