Bought a $15 fan hub off Amazon expecting it to fail, but it's been running 6 months straight

I was sure a cheap fan hub would burn out in a week, but I needed a quick fix for my Fractal case build last January. Six months later all six fans are still spinning perfectly with zero noise or issues, and my cable management actually looks clean for once. Has anyone else had a cheap part surprise them and hold up way better than expected?

Wait, did you get it from that brand that starts with a "G"? I had the exact same experience - I used to think those cheap hubs were just fire hazards waiting to happen, but I grabbed one last year for like $12 on a whim. Six months later it's still going strong in my backup PC, running four Arctic fans without a single hiccup. Honestly changed my whole view on bargain bin PC parts, though I still check the solder joints before I plug anything in.
