Thought I was a dad joke genius until my 8-year-old groaned and said 'that's not even funny, that's just accurate'
I told her 'I'm reading a book on anti-gravity, it's impossible to put down' and she deadpanned 'gravity isn't a book, Dad, it's a force' and then walked away, so now I'm wondering if I've been telling science facts instead of jokes this whole time.

honestly, this might be the most underrated parenting flex in history. you accidentally taught your kid to question authority and check facts, that's literally a life skill lol. most eight year olds are still trying to figure out why the sky is blue, but yours is out here debunking dad jokes with science. i bet when she grows up she'll be the one fact checking politicians and making people uncomfortable at parties with random knowledge. you didn't mess up your jokes, you accidentally raised a tiny skeptic.
