Watched a phishing demo at a library event and my jaw hit the floor

Last Tuesday our local library had a guy from a security firm show how easy it is to clone a login page. He built a fake Google sign-in in about 3 minutes using free software. I thought I was pretty sharp about this stuff but seeing it done live made me realize how many times I've just typed my password without looking at the URL bar. Has anyone else ever fallen for something that looked legit at first glance?

Man, I fell for a fake "Netflix billing update" email back in 2021 and gave them my credit card info without even blinking. It looked dead on, right down to the little red N logo. Now I hover over every link like it's a snake ready to bite.
