Unpopular opinion: that $180 "premium" VPN bundle I bought in Denver did jack for my security
Dropped $180 on a 5-year VPN plan last spring in Denver because some YouTube guy swore it would stop hackers, then got my bank card skimmed at a gas station anyway, so what actually works for you guys when the fancy subscription stuff fails?

Bought the same kind of plan two years ago and felt like a genius until my card got hit at a drive thru. The VPN only hides your web traffic, it does nothing when someone clones your card at a pump, so now I just tap to pay and check the reader before I swipe. Learned more from my bank's fraud alerts than from any subscription.
