Spent $40 on a password manager and it saved me from a big mess last month
I always used the same simple password for everything, which I know is bad. After reading some posts here, I finally bought a password manager for about forty bucks a year. I spent a weekend putting all my logins in there and making new, strong passwords. It was a pain, but worth it. Last month, I got an alert that one of my old accounts from a shopping site got hacked. Because I had a unique password for my email and bank, the hacker couldn't get into anything important. The manager even helped me change all the other passwords fast. I would have been in real trouble without it. Has anyone else had a close call that made them glad they got a password manager?

My weekend was just as bad, but at least my passwords are now a mess I can't remember.

Spent a weekend putting all my logins in" sounds like my personal hell, but nice save.

Cringe so hard imagining someone actually voluntarily spending a whole weekend just typing passwords into a system... that's dedication or maybe just a really boring weekend. Hope you at least had some snacks and good music to get through it.
