Spent 3 hours trying to fix a Wi-Fi issue that turned out to be a cat unplugging the router at 2am
I finally checked the security camera footage and sure enough my orange tabby had nudged the cord loose four times that week, has anyone else had a pet cause a network problem that drove them crazy?

oh MAN this is such a perfect example of how we overthink EVERYTHING now. like we just assume the tech is being complicated or we messed something up but really life is just a bunch of small dumb things happening at the wrong time. i had a similar thing with my printer refusing to connect for days and it turned out my dog had been stepping on the power strip and turning it off. we spend hours googling error codes and resetting stuff when the REAL problem is just a creature being a creature. makes you wonder how many other problems in life are actually just a cat pulling a cord or a sock in the dryer. we need to stop and look at the SIMPLE stuff first before we spiral into troubleshooting hell.

Whoa, hold on, I gotta push back a little on this one. Yeah, it's funny and annoying when the cat does it, but spending three hours on it? That's a choice. @rowank69 you're making it sound like some deep life lesson about overthinking, but honestly, if you're not checking the power cable before you start resetting modems for three hours, that's just bad troubleshooting from the start. It's not some profound "creature being a creature" moment, it's just skipping the most obvious step and getting frustrated. Like, first thing you do when WiFi drops should be a quick "is it plugged in" check, takes ten seconds. Making it this whole philosophy about how life works feels like a stretch when really it's just a basic checklist fail. Maybe next time instead of filming the cat, just check the cord first.
