Saw a guy at a Phoenix coffee shop type his laptop password into a phone note, then leave the note open
Sat next to him last Tuesday and watched him copy his password from a plain note app right in front of the whole room, screen brightness all the way up. I get it, remembering long passwords is rough, but a sticky note on the desk would honestly be safer. What do you all use for keeping track of the long ones without just putting them somewhere that obvious?
Watched a guy do the exact same thing at a diner near my place. What finally worked for me was a cheap password book, the little paper kind you keep in a drawer. Sounds old school but nobody is gonna scroll through my junk drawer. For the really important stuff I just memorized a sentence and use the first letters of each word plus some numbers.
