PSA: Your VPN might be the reason your banking app keeps crashing

Had two-factor auth fail on my Chase account last Tuesday because the app thought I was logging in from a different state every 5 minutes. Turned off the VPN in downtown Austin and it worked perfectly. Anyone else run into this where security tools fight each other?

Whoa wait, they actually flag you just for jumping IPs?

Wait, they actually do that for just hopping around IPs? Thats wild lol. I always thought that kind of thing was only for sketchy VPNs or data centers but not regular residential IPs. My buddy got flagged on one site just for logging in from his phone on mobile data and then from home wifi later that day. They sent him a whole verification email like he was a bot or something.
