Paid $40 for a "premium" VPN last year and it was the SAME free app with a new logo
I want to warn people that a $40/year VPN I got from a slick review site turned out to be the exact same free app from the Play Store with a new name and skin, and I only figured it out when both showed the same server list for Omaha, Nebraska, so does anyone know a VPN that isn't just a rebrand of a free one?

That Omaha server list detail is honestly hilarious, like they didn't even bother hiding it. Sorry you got burned though, forty bucks is forty bucks and finding out you paid for a free app stings. The rebrand thing is way more common than people realize, a lot of these "review" sites are just paid ads dressed up to look like honest write-ups. Hope you can at least get a refund or do a chargeback through your card, that's straight up false advertising.
