My neighbor just clicked a link in a text about a package he never ordered.

Honestly, I watched him do it from my window and he typed his credit card info into a site that looked like the post office but had a weird URL. Tbh, he lost about $150 before he called the bank to freeze his card. How do you even start explaining basic phishing to someone who thinks every text is real?

Man, my aunt fell for the same thing with a fake Amazon link last month.

Oh man, what was the fake link offering? Was it like a "package delayed" thing or one of those crazy discount scams? I feel like the phishing emails get scarier every month.

I used to think older folks were just careless, but seeing it happen to my tech-savvy friend was a real wake-up call lol.
