My cousin in IT told me to stop reusing the same password for my bank and email, and last month when my email got breached, my bank account was the only thing that stayed safe.
He said if they get one password, they try it everywhere, and sure enough, the hackers got into my email but couldn't touch my bank because it had a totally different, strong password.

Ever think about using a password manager? Makes having different strong passwords for everything way easier.

Password managers are great until you need a password on a friend's device or a public computer. The real trick is having a backup method you trust, like a physical notebook in a safe spot. Too many people put all their digital keys in one place and forget what happens if that service has a hiccup. It's smart to use one, but never let it become your only way into your own life.

Keep a few core passwords memorized for email and the manager itself. That notebook idea is solid for a master list you rarely need. I still use a manager for daily stuff but test my memory on the important ones once a month. What's your go-to backup plan?
