Lost 6 hours and $40 on a fake antivirus renewal notice last Tuesday

I clicked a popup that looked exactly like my Norton renewal (even had the right logo colors) and now my credit card has a $40 charge from some company in India, has anyone else gotten those fake renewal emails that look way too real?

Whoa wait, the logo colors were exact? That's terrifying. I got one of those fake McAfee things last year and the logo was close but the font was slightly off, so I caught it. But your story gives me chills because, in my experience, scammers are getting scary good at copying the little details like the exact shade of yellow or the little shield icon. I'm honestly surprised they didn't spoof the email address too.
