Guy at a panel told me I was overthinking password managers

Ran into this IT director at a conference in Phoenix who said he just uses a notebook for passwords and never had a single issue in 15 years. Got me wondering if some of us are putting too much faith in cloud-based security?

Notebook guy has the right idea, cloud stuff just adds unnecessary risk.

Read an article the other day about some guy who lost years of work when his cloud provider shut down without warning. Not a hack or anything, just a company going under. Makes you think twice about trusting all that stuff. A notebook or a local drive might feel old school but at least you know where your stuff is. You ever run into a cloud horror story?
