Can we talk about how 2FA cut our fake account problem from 40 a week to 3?
Last October our small shop's Facebook page was getting hit with fake accounts every single day. My boss asked me to look into it after a customer got a weird message from someone pretending to be us. I turned on two-factor authentication on all 6 admin accounts on a Tuesday afternoon. It took maybe 20 minutes total. By the end of that same week the fake account reports dropped from around 40 to 3. I checked again after a month and it stayed low. Has anyone else seen a jump like that just from turning on 2FA, or did we get lucky?
